Well, I’ve got good news and bad news. The bad news: No one seems to really care that we’re starting to piss of Yulia except me, and I’m trying my hardest to make things right and make a good impression on her. I just wish I knew how to relate to people better; it sucks because I’m trying to follow your advice and what I’ve seen on those instructional trideos on how to relate to people, but I just can’t seem to say or do the right things at the right times.
The good news: ….well, I guess I really don’t have any for you right now. I’m still alive and doing well, and certainly in better health than everyone else. Still working on my letters when I have time, but what with cleaning Yulia’s car and maintaining my weapons, I haven’t had much time to really concentrate on them. Our current job’s going alright, but it never seems to end. Sometimes I wish I had just let them decide to kill Black Lotus, but hopefully that pans out in the end. I did mention that last time we picked up a new party member, Gogo, right? Well, this time we got to see first hand what he does. Boss, mages are scary.
We infiltrated the factory complex disguised as new contract negotiators for Black Lotus. While there, we realized that the thing we’re looking for belonged to Black Lotus, thanks to Gogo. After a little bit of time and negotiating, Vik signed some sort of contract and we left to have another discussion with Mr. Lotus. After we failed to convince him to just give us the flower (Man, if only he knew we were THIS close to just killing him and taking it) we came up with the idea that he could get out of his contract if we disabled the Riko factory that was processing the bioware. He agreed, and said we’d talk after the job was done.
Well, after a bit of a fuss at the factory involving 7 grenades, at least 2 fireballs and a few streams of acid, we got the job done and ran into the sewers. I say ran, but Gogo was passed out and bleeding from multiple orifices, Vik passed out before I stim patch’d him awake again, and Val was so full of bullets I’m pretty sure he was walking only because of the high of having survived at all. Since I was the only one in any condition to walk, much less help out, I was stuck picking up the slack with her around the clinic. Which wasn’t much, since I still can’t read and I don’t know what all the medicines do. On the one hand, it was nice to get to spend time around her, but on the other hand, she was still pretty pissed at all of us. Mostly at Vik, but I’m pretty sure she doesn’t like the rest of us much right now.
I’m so tired, I need to stop this here and take a quick nap. I’ll catch you later, boss. We’re off to meet up with Black Lotus again tomorrow, since Gogo’s finally recovered…
